In a shabby apartment in Moscow, an American journalist asks a retired spy why he betrayedhis country and defectedto the USSR fifty years ago. The answerstake them back to 1932, where in the closed atmosphere of a British boys` school, young Guy Bennett realizes that his attraction to his classmate is morethan a passing phase.
