I loved the original Dirty Dancing and when this came out I loved this one as well. It has many similarities to the original, BUT it is not supposed to be a sequel. It has different characters, different problems, a different place but similar issues of two people being in love when everyone else thought it was absurd and tried to keep them apart. While dancing they proved to everyone that their love was real and it blossomed through dirty dancing.
