Very Interesting movie
Couldnt say I loved it but also couldnt say I
didn`t. From the guy who brought you Donnie Darko
comes this move SOUTHLAND TALES and is kind of
a futuristic, hard to explain movie that you wont
really get until the end and still might be confused until you put some thought into it. Basically what it comes down to is it`s a play on the end of the world and how man, not mother nature, will probaly be at fault because of are
neverending search for technology, that might just be the right invention that destroys us all without even knowing it. Huge cast in it and another kind of neat thing is you get to see some stars of SNL and Mad TV play serious roles even though you will probaly find them somewhat humorous and the cinematography is pretty good as well. Like I said check it out, you might not love it but you`ll definetly be thinking about it and it`s meaning for some time to come.

Huh?
I got this movie because it had some actors that I normally like. When I watched it I was horribly disappointed, Sarah Michelle-Gellar turned into a ditzy blond. "The Rock" was just unbelievable, there is no way that someone that big or even someone that use to be an actor would lose that much confidence in himself in such a short period of time. It also seemed like he switched back and forth to many times, one minute he was confident the other he was nervous and jitter.
I liked Seann Scott`s character, he was really good and I also, much to my to my disgust, have to say that I liked Justin Timberlake`s character/narration. He had just the right voice for it.
There wasn`t enough interconnection between some of the characters that I didn`t see how any of this could happen and there are gaping holes in the story that needed to be filled for me to really like the story.
Overall I didn`t like the movie and was rather disappointed. There were some scenes that were fun to watch though.
