Best movie of 2007This will go down as one of the greatest movies ever made, I have little doubt. From Daniel Day Lewis`s jaw droppingly phenomenal performance, to up and comer Paul Dano`s (of little miss sunshine) somehow overlooked brilliant job as a young a passionate priest. The acting is top notch.
What I appreciated most is the tremendous job they did of creating this atmosphere that really set the tone for the movie. Johnny Greenwood (Radiohead`s lead guitarist) created a scratchy soundtrack that kept you on the edge of your seat without having to sacrifice story to have some michael bay type explosion that`ll keep you interested. The cinematography was stunning. They did something really interesting, reminded me a lot of The Assasination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford. It was all really simple breathtaking images, however, the purposefully had the camera go in and out of focus.
All of these combine to create a masterpiece of filmmaking that will be wildly heralded for years to come.
