One of the Best Films This Year
The Answer Man stars Jeff Daniels as an author named Arlen Faber who, twenty years ago, wrote an international best seller called "God and Me." The book is a huge success and many spin offs follow (God and Me Diet, God and Me for Teens etc.)none of which he wrote. In fact, he lives as a recluse, refusing all public appearnces and not having his picture on the book jacket, he manages to remain anonymous.

Faber`s book is a series of questions posed to God and the answers he recieved from him, leading to the film`s title of The Answer Man.

This film made me laugh a lot and cry a little which is my favorite kind of movie. It captures the hypocrisy of some people deemed elightened or highly spiritual, as well as the desperate and obsessive search of the public for answers to "fix" themselves.

Technically a romantic comedy,it is much better than most thanks to its pitch-perfect script and performances.
