Inspiring
Truly horrifying things happen to Precious during her life. She`s repeatedly raped by her father and has two babies by him, her mother beats her mercilessly while verbally abusing her. She`s 16 and still in junior high. And it gets worse.

Despite the cruel ugly things done to her, Precious makes the courageous effort not to be an ugly person herself. This is the inspiring part of Precious. She decides that she deserves something better, namely love, and wants to give that love to her two babies too.
