Loosely based on a true story
The opening sequence of this film uses Mary Chapin Carpenter`s haunting version of the song 10,000 miles to give us the plot background and tone of the film without using words to great effect. Anna Paquin is very engaging as the adopted mother to the orphaned flock of geese who teaches them to fly so they can migrate south for the winter.
