300Well first thing to address is, obviously, how outrageously badass the fight scenes were. I mean, I don`t want to spoil it for the rest of you squares out there who haven`t seen it. Oh, who am I kiddin` sure I do! There is no better feeling. They took everything that was controversial in like the nineties with movies like Gladiator and multiplied it tenfold. (Including the sex scene by the way) But hey, if it gets the aesthetic feel across to your audience, why the hell not. Anyway, despite the blood being completely digital, the visual imagery was amazing. Particularly that from the side of the Persian army (the baddies). The lighting and the voice of Xerxes (king of the persian baddies) was really well cast and recorded. It really gave the character in omnipotent feel which the comic could only describe. The makeup as well (i.e. the Immortals, from Asia, or the women in Xerxes harem, lookin` all diseased and nasty) As for the Spartans, they were so badass, they didn`t even need armor man! They was all, "You know what? We gonna march out there in tighty leatheries with only 300 guys and kick their asses." Which of course they did. Well, you know, I mean...I`m not sure how it actually went down in real life, but I`m sure it was just as rockin`. Imagine that though, havin` to spend days on end killing wave after wave of enemies.
