Angel is bored with life in his small Mexican town and plans to cross the border to live the great "American Dream".His more practical olderbrother, Carlos, has no such fantasies, but decides to tag along because it might solve thefamily`s money problems.Their journey gets off to a rough startwhen they are abandoned by their smuggler and are forcedto fend for themselves in the Arizona desert. Following a strange and hilariousadventure involving cowboys, Indians, psychedelics and thingsthat go boom, the boys find themselves in Tuscon, where they work as day-laborers andsleep in the park, living as social outcasts.
