Mary Henry and a couple of her best friends are just out looking for a little fun whenthey accept a challenge to dragrace. After the car is fishedout of the river and no bodies recoveredthe girls are reported dead. Mary, how-ever, has survived - with partial amnesiaregarding the car crash. Unableto sort it all out she resumes her life as usual. But strange things are begin-ning to happen;a dark, shadowy man keeps appearing to her through thewindshield of her car, sudden anxiety attacks leave her feeling invisible to everyone aroundher and the old, abandoned carnival just outside of townseems to be beckoning her.
