Movie Description:
Denis Leary, John Turturro and Sigourney Weaver uncover the biggest laughs of the season in this side- splittingly funny comedy about America`smost unlikely secret agent. Allen Quimp (Douglas McGrath) is a nerdy, under- achieving teacher with one, all- consuming dream: to rid the world of badgrammar. Unfortunately, Allen`sdream isn`t shared by his snooty wife (Sigourney Weaver) who believes Allen isone of life`s losers. All that changeswhen Allen tells her a little lie- that he`s really a CIA agent, which he demonstrates byunwittingly orchestrating the defection of a Russianballet star. Impressed by his work, the CIA actually recruits Quimp, dispatchinghim to 1960`s revolution-torn Cuba. Surrounded by a cast of colorfulcharacters including a dandyishex- dictator (Alan Cumming), a loose-cannon spy (John Turturro) and Fidel Castro (Anthony LaPaglia), Quimp does his comicbest to fight for democracy andproper grammar...while a country`s fate hangs in the balance!
