Billy Hayes gets out of jail and goes home to the small pastoral town of Coney Island, Ireland. Nearly forgotten since his long absence, Billy returnshome to find his father still pounding the pavement selling bathroom accessorieand his girlfriend Bridget, a mechanic, engaged... and pregnant. Dubiouslyclaiming to be a reinvigorated man, Billy has a sharp-witted plan to whisk Bridget away toan American Dream: the promiseof their very own roadside gasstation. Unfortunately, her fiance and his family do not sharein the vision. With no recourse left and smothered by his altogether too familiar routine ofhawking bathroom cleansers with his dador hanging out with lowlife small-time thieves, Billy takes one final risk to realizehis dream and prove himself tohis beloved Bridget.
