Quentin is a nerdy comic bookfanatic who spends his days working as a security guard at a biotech research lab andhis nights at home dreaming ofsuperheroes. When thugs ambushthe lab,his partner is killed in the shootout. Overcome by grief, he knowingly injects himselfwith a top-secret drug made fromthe blood of a laboratory spider.
