Fassbinder`s third featurefilm, Gods of the Plague, picks up wher Love is Colder Than Death left off - following the lives of petty criminalson the streets of Munich. After being released from prison, small-time crook Frank Walsch returns tothe underworld and seeks out oldacquaintances. He briefly reunites withhis girlfriend Joanna and joins up with "Gorilla", the Bavarian hit man who killed his brother. Together they plana supermarket robbery, but the heist ends up being a trap when they are betrayed by Joanna and Franz`s new lover Margarethe.
