A story about hope courage and human dignitiy. Santiago, in his prome the greatest fisherman in his village on theCuban coast, has gone 84 days without acatch. To the villagers it is afearful sign that Santiago is losing his luck. To his daughterit is clear that he should abandon his stubborn independenceand live with her in Havana.
