Movie Description:
When the plane carrying CharlieHallidaya maverick bush pilot and a sick, young,inuit woman,kanaalaq,crashes hundreds ofmiles from civilization they are at themercy of natures worst. While search parties try to find thedowned plane Charlie decidesto trek overland promising the woman that he will returnwith help. Despite her weakend conditionshe follows charlie andnurses him back to health when insects cold and starvation threaten to kill him shortleyafter he leaves. Kanaalaq teaches him the skills he will needto survive and he comes to respect her wisdom and love her valiant spirit as they each set outinto the wilderness. Each will find a startling and solitary destiny in the beautiful and stark tundra.
