After returning from WorldWar II, a young G.I. finds he had little in common with thewife he left behind. Disillusioned, he heads north to work asa traveling salesman. There he meets thedaughter of a wealthy vineyard owner. Onher way home, she is terrified of what her domineering father will do when helearns she is unmarried and pregnant.
