Movie Description:
Following the suicide of her feckless husband Ronnie, `wild` Iris Brevard and her son have nooption but to move in with her critical and domineering motherMinnie whom Iris blames for driving Ronnie to his death. Eight years pass and Iris is still there, sewing bridal gowns for pregnantteenagers at her mother`s Bluebell Bridal shop and taking refuge in vodka and self recrimination: the surrounding paraphenalia of weddings a constantreminder of her own failed marriage. Her son Lonnie meanwhile has grown up into a shy and lonely teenager who tries to avoid the constant bickering ofhis mother and grandmother by retreatinginto a fantasy world ofcowboy movies and Zane Gray novels, which he hopes will help hum understand the death ofhis father. To Iris there is no escape, until a second brush with tragedy forces her to act before history can repeat itself.
