Based on true events, WINDHORSE focuses on the lives oftwo siblings andtheir cousin who as young children witnessed their Tibetan grandfatherbrutally murdered over his resistance ofChinese aggression. Eighteen years later, the memory of losing their grandfather has affected each of thekids very differently. On the verge of pop-stardom, Dolkar hasassimilated herself comfortably into Chinese culturewhile her disgusted brotherDorjee`s hatred of the Chinese has turned him into an embittered vagrant. Their cousin Pema has since retreated tothe solace of life as a Buddhist nununtil, like her grandfather before her, she too risks her life by defying Chinese rule inTibet. When Dolkar and Dorjee are called tohelp Pema, the brutal realitiesof Chinese occupation in Tibet strike the family once again- this time they must join forces to do everything in theirpower to help stop it.
