Number 5 is Alive! This wonderful family film will capture your heart. When a Military Robot, meant for war, is struck by lightning it short circuits. Number 5 finds sanctuary with Stephanie, an animal lover, who "feeds" him imput by giving him encyclopedias and letting him watch tv. Number 5 believes he is alive so when the Military sends people to disasemble him, he tries everything he can to "stay alive". Ally Sheedy, Steve Guttenberg and Fisher Stevens are all wonderful.

Best Carrey movie so far When you hear Jim Carrey`s name you automatically think "comedy", but this movie is definitely not a comedy. It`s a full fledged drama that proves Jim Carrey can actually act.
When an accident causes Peter to lose his memory he is embraced by Harry Trimble, who is convinced that Peter is his son Luke, who was listed as MIA almost a decade ago in WWII. While trying to fix up the Majestic theatre, the towns people, still grieving over the loss of 60 others, embrace Luke and the whole town starts to come alive again. Give this movie a try and you won`t be disappointed. Also watch out for Bruce Campbell in a small role in the films "Sand Pirates of the Sahara" sequence.

Romantic and strong female lead Normally I don`t like the Cinderella story because they portray to woman as someone who needs a man to rescue her. But this modernized version starring Drew Barrymore is more my cup of tea. This Cinderella is strong, independent and spunky, she definitely knows how to stand up for herself. I especially like the scene with the gypsies in the forest. If you`re looking for a movie that shows a strong female role this is definitely the one.
