CLOVERFIELD DVD Review

Written by rongjeremy on May 8th, 2008

surprising for sure!!!!!! I saw the reviews that were done on this and have to say that I saw this film last night and LOVED IT. I loved seeing a different style of movie making with the hand held camera putting you "there" at the moment and even going as far as to play it off like a tape that was found later with the words U.S. Government at the begining of the tape. As for a plot there really isn`t supposed to be one because everything is supposed to be happening randomly and shockingly as these unsuspected people are hurtled into this night of unsuspecting survival for themselves and loved ones. I`m not a horror buff but I found this film intense and refreshing as film making went to a different level on the other side of typical Hollywood filming and you can almost put yourself in there shoes of what it would be like if somewhere in this huge universe of ours a random attack from "something" was to suddenly attack us in are lives, that sometimes we take for granite and are not really forced into survival tactics or heroism that often.

PANS LABYRINTH DVD Review

oddly awesome Don`t know really where to start with this film but I much enjoyed it. It is however foreign and if you dont mind the subtitles (or if you do still see) then see this! Kind of like a Dark Crystal or Labyrinth movie that were made in the 80`s, but with a World War II and Nazi Germany twist, yet still keeping that dark, mysterious underworld and odd creatures in somewhat of a different dimension. Like I said hard to explain but I loved this movie. See it at least for something different than all the main stream storys that are out there and I think you will very glad that you didn`t pass it up.

ELIZABETH GOLDEN AGE DVD Review

Put together well First off I like movies that are set in this time period, and I was impressed with this film alot because of the way it was put together. Not only is it a interesting story but you also get to see the more "human" side of this person who is put in such high power as a Queen, and the almost hardship of having to put on lets say "a smiling face" for the public, much like the politicians of today do. But all in all if you like period type pieces based on certain peoples lives then you should give this one a try.
